Slavuta Honors Heroes of Heavenly Hundred: Remembering Ukrainian Freedom

This year, Ukraine honors the memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred with the slogan – people who changed the course of our state’s history and gave their lives for its freedom, dignity, and independence.

On this occasion, a commemorative event organized by the employees of the city Palace of Culture took place today in the Slavuta community near the memorial sign to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.

With a minute of silence, those present honored the bright memory of the Heroes of the Revolution of Dignity and all the defenders who died in the struggle for the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The mayor of the city, Vasyl Sydor, addressed those present:

💬 “11 years separate us from extremely important events in the life of the Ukrainian people. When, on the one hand, there were tragic days, and on the other – days of hope, faith, and respect. By uniting, Ukrainians were able to expel the internal enemy and realize that freedom and independence must be fought for, and their own freedom must be protected. We live on our land, and therefore, we have something to work on and something to unite for. Let us honor those who defended civil rights and thank our compatriots who are defending their native land from enemies today! Eternal memory to those who have passed away.”

At the end of the event, its participants laid flowers at the foot of the memorial sign.

Let’s remain worthy of our Heroes!

Glory to Ukraine 🇺🇦!
