Він став на захист Батьківщини у перші дні повномасштабного вторгнення, не вагаючись, пішов боронити рідну землю. Віталій загинув 21 лютого 2024 року під час виконання бойового завдання поблизу селища Терни на Донеччині. Йому було 45 років…
