His work has been featured in watercolor festivals across the globe. The exhibition in Lutsk, titled “Through the Prism of Metaphors,” presents 35 of his stunning paintings, offering a captivating glimpse into his artistic journey and mastery of watercolor techniques. The exhibition’s opening has also sparked the beginning of the “FEST-AQUARELLE” project.

Kazmiruk’s art has gained international recognition, with works acquired by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and private collectors. The exhibition in Lutsk showcases his unique talent and perspective, offering a diverse collection of watercolor paintings. The “FEST-AQUARELLE” project is a testament to the ongoing commitment to supporting Ukrainian culture and its artists. During the opening, Deputy Mayor of Lutsk, Iryna Chebelyuk, emphasized the unique nature of watercolor and the distinctiveness of Kazmiruk’s art. She also announced that the exhibition marks the beginning of a new cultural and artistic initiative, “FEST-AQUARELLE.” This project is a collaboration between the Lutsk City Council, the Volyn Regional State Administration, the Regional Council, and the Lutsk Art Museum. “Watercolor is a specific technique, extremely difficult to perform. I paint on wet paper. The sheet is wetted in a bath, and within an hour and a half, regardless of the size of the sheet, I must complete the drawing, sign it, and never return to it because it is impossible to rework the watercolor,” the artist explained. Kazmiruk’s dedication to the watercolor medium is evident in his meticulous approach. The artist paints on wet paper to achieve specific effects, working rapidly to complete each piece. The time constraint adds a layer of intensity to his technique, showcasing his mastery of the art form.

Iryna Chebelyuk, the Deputy Mayor of Lutsk, attended the exhibition opening. She highlighted the uniqueness of watercolor techniques and the distinctive nature of Anatoliy Kazmiruk’s work in her speech. Furthermore, she announced that the exhibition marks the beginning of a new cultural and artistic initiative, “FEST-AQUARELLE”. This project is a collaborative effort involving the Lutsk City Council, the Volyn Regional State Administration, the Regional Council, and the Lutsk Art Museum. The project’s primary objective is to support the psychological well-being of those affected by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

“The project has an important mission. At a time when our boys and girls are defending their homeland from the enemy, proving that the Ukrainian nation has the right to exist, we will work for their recovery, rehabilitation and psychological support. Through this project, through watercolor, we offer to express the emotions that overwhelm them, and thus alleviate their psychological state,” said Iryna Chebelyuk. This initiative aims to use art as a therapeutic tool, providing a means for individuals to express and process their emotions during these challenging times. Through the medium of watercolor, the project hopes to offer a space for emotional expression and psychological support.

“From today, we will talk about watercolor for a month, returning its relevance to our artistic life. In the age of artificial intelligence and computer technology, the ancient technique of watercolor teaches a person to better see and feel the world around them,” added Zoya Navrotska, director of the Lutsk Art Museum, who thanked Anatoliy Kazmiruk for his creativity that heals souls. The director’s comments highlight the enduring value of traditional art forms in the modern world. Zoya Navrotska also emphasized how watercolor art can provide a connection to the world around us. Colleagues of the artist from the Dubno Museum-Reserve attended the opening in Lutsk, showing support for Kazmiruk’s achievements.

The exhibition features a variety of Kazmiruk’s works, each displaying his exceptional skill and creativity. The event aims to attract art enthusiasts and provide an opportunity for them to experience the beauty and power of watercolor paintings.
