Провів зустріч із Премʼєр-міністром Іспанії Педро Санчесом у Брюсселі. Обговорили координацію позицій та кроків із Європою щодо переговорного процесу з командою Президента США про досягнення достойного миру. Важливо, щоб Європа була залучена на кожному етапі, тому що мир має гарантувати суверенітет України та європейську безпеку. Окремо говорили про наш рух до членства у Євросоюзі – це також важливий елемент гарантій безпеки.

Дякую Педро Санчесу за продовження оборонної підтримки – рішення надати ракети для IRIS-T, участь у програмах PURL та SAFE. Цінуємо підтримання з боку Іспанії всіх санкційних пакетів Євросоюзу проти Росії. Очікуємо, що 20-й пакет міститиме жорсткі заходи проти банківського сектору, тіньового флоту РФ, технологій подвійного використання, російських олігархів і пропагандистів.

I held a meeting with Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sánchez Pérez-Castejón in Brussels. We discussed coordination of positions and steps with Europe regarding the negotiation process with the team of the President of the United States to achieve a dignified peace. It is important that Europe is involved at every stage, because peace must guarantee Ukraine’s sovereignty and European security. We also discussed our path toward membership in the European Union, which is another important element of security guarantees.

I thank Pedro Sánchez for the continued defense support – specifically, the decision to provide missiles for IRIS-T, as well as participation in the PURL initiative and the SAFE instrument. We value Spain’s support for all sanctions packages of the European Union against Russia. We expect the 20th sanctions package to include tough measures against Russia’s banking sector, its shadow fleet, dual-use technologies, Russian oligarchs, and propagandists.
