The ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war continues to claim the lives of Ukrainian defenders. Today, the city of Lutsk paid its final respects to fallen soldiers Fedir Melnychuk and Serhii Oleksiuk.

The farewell ceremony took place at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Lutsk. Family, friends, and city officials, including Deputy Mayor Iryna Chebeliuk, gathered to honor the memory of the heroes.

Fedir Mykolaiovych Melnychuk, born on June 23, 1974, died on February 15 in the area of Krasne Pershe, Kharkiv region. Serhii Volodymyrovych Oleksiuk, born on May 8, 1991, died on September 19, 2023, in the area of Verbove, Zaporizhzhia region.

The fallen soldiers were laid to rest in the military section of the city cemetery in the village of Garazhdzha. The community extends its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the fallen heroes.

The memory of the fallen soldiers will be forever etched in the hearts of those who knew them. The community mourns their loss and honors their sacrifice in defense of Ukraine.
