On the occasion of the Day of Unity of Ukraine and the proclamation of the independence of the Ukrainian People’s Republic, residents of the Ostroh community gathered at Maidan Svobody today to sing the National Anthem of Ukraine. The attendees also honored the memory of all Ukrainians who gave their lives for their homeland with a moment of silence. At the end of the event, flowers were laid at the memorial plaque to Vyacheslav Chornovil.
