Україна вважає, що таке навіть неприховане залучення Росією громадян Китаю до бойових дій на території України в загарбницькій війні є свідомим кроком на розширення війни. Це ще одне свідчення того, що Москві потрібно просто затягувати бойові дії.

Росії все одно, хто саме буде гинути в цій божевільній війні, їй треба тільки, щоб війна тривала. Нам усім треба – усім партнерам, усім сумлінним учасникам міжнародних відносин, – щоб Росія втратила можливість продовжувати війну, зокрема, шляхом використання ось таких людей.

The first two captured Chinese citizens. Today, investigators from the Security Service of Ukraine spoke with them. We are working to establish all the facts regarding the involvement of these and other Chinese citizens being part of the Russian occupation army. Ukrainian intelligence is also working on this matter.

As of now, we have precise data on over 150 Chinese citizens who were involved in the war against Ukraine by Russia. We know that the actual number is higher. Ukraine believes that such blatant involvement of Chinese citizens in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine during the war of aggression is a deliberate step towards the expansion of the war, and is yet another indication that Moscow simply needs to drag out the fighting.

Russia doesn’t care who dies in this insane war, they only need the war to continue. We all need—all partners, all fair-minded participants in international relations—to deprive Russia of the ability to continue the war, including through the use of people like these.
