📲 Starting February 20, 2025, notifications from the Electronic Health System (ESOZ) containing confirmation codes, e-prescription numbers, or e-referrals will be delivered via Viber. SMS will remain a guaranteed channel for delivering such messages.

📍 These changes are possible thanks to amendments made to Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 411 “Some issues of the electronic health system” dated April 25, 2018.

👉 If a patient has Viber, the notification from ESOZ will be sent primarily through this communication channel.

🔗 If the patient does not have Viber, they will receive an SMS message.

🔹The next stage for delivering notifications from ESOZ will be delivering push notifications via Diia. We will provide additional information about this as well.

What if the patient doesn’t have a phone?

🙋🏻‍♂️ Patients who do not have a phone will still be able to receive an information certificate.

✅ When registering patients in the electronic health system who do not have a phone, with the patient authentication method type “by documents,” the doctor creates an e-prescription, an e-referral, and prints out an information certificate, which duplicates the same information as in the e-prescription or e-referral, as well as an additional confirmation code.

🔎 If authentication is selected through another person (for children under 14 years old or for incapacitated persons as an additional method of authentication), the notification will be sent to one of the parents or a legal representative.
