3 Years Since Russia’s Invasion: Ukraine Remembers & Fights
Today marks 3 years since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia. The war continues. It has been 11 years since the beginning of the conflict.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began in 2014 when the occupiers annexed Crimea and initiated the war in Donbas. At that time, the world did not fully grasp the scale of the threat. But we – Ukrainians – knew that this struggle would be long. 24 February 2022 marked the beginning of a new, even more brutal phase of the war, which has now continued for 11 years. The enemy wanted to erase us from the map of the world, but they did not take into account the main thing – Ukrainians cannot be broken.
Over these years, we have lost thousands of lives. But we have not lost faith, strength, and the right to our freedom. We are fighting not only for ourselves – we stand for the future of our country, for the memory of those who gave their lives, for the generations who must live in a free Ukraine.
💙💛The feat of the Ukrainian people in repelling Russian aggression was honored today in Uzhhorod on the Hill of Glory. Clergymen of various denominations held an ecumenical prayer. The spiritual anthem of Ukraine, “God Almighty, the Only One,” was performed by the Honored Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir.
The leadership of the region and the city, military personnel, representatives of law enforcement and security structures, diplomats, clergy, and the public laid flowers at the Memorial to the fallen warriors for Ukraine and at the graves of the fallen Heroes.
The war continues. And until the last occupier leaves our land – the struggle will not stop.
We remember. We fight. We will win.
Glory to Ukraine!🇺🇦
