Pavlohrad Honors Heroes on Invasion Anniversary
Commemoration of Heroes in Pavlohrad on the Third Anniversary of the Full-Scale Invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine
Pavlohrad recently held a solemn event to honor the heroes who have demonstrated exceptional courage and sacrifice in the ongoing conflict. The occasion marked the third anniversary of the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation into Ukraine, a period of immense trial and tribulation for the nation. The ceremony served as a poignant reminder of the heavy price paid for freedom and independence, and a tribute to those who have stood firm in the face of adversity.
The event was attended by a diverse group of dignitaries and community members, including the Mayor of Pavlohrad, Anatoliy Vershyna, city council deputies, military personnel, families of the fallen, representatives of law enforcement agencies, heads of institutions and structural subdivisions of the executive committee, schoolchildren, and the general public. Their presence underscored the community’s collective respect for the heroes and their commitment to preserving the memory of their bravery.
During the ceremony, military leaders played a key role in recognizing the valor of those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The Commander of Military Unit 3024, Dmytro Trotsenko, and the Head of the Moral and Psychological Support Group of the Pavlohrad District Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, Oleksandr Savchenko, presented posthumous awards to the families of the fallen soldiers. These honors served as a symbol of gratitude and acknowledgment for the extraordinary courage demonstrated by these individuals.
The following individuals were awarded the Order “For Courage III Degree”:

- Sklyarov Oleksandr Volodymyrovych
- Skydarenko Petro Mykolayovych
- Tkachenko Dmytro Volodymyrovych
- Nedostup Serhiy Oleksiyovych
- Antipov Andriy Oleksandrovych
The families of the deceased defenders received the awards on their behalf, a moment of profound emotion and remembrance. The ceremony also included the awarding of the Badge of Honor “For Services to the Community” (posthumously) to the following residents of Pavlohrad:
- Deynega Yevhen Oleksandrovych
- Onufriyenko Ivan Volodymyrovych
- Poliyenko Yevhen Oleksandrovych
- Stepanyuk Yuriy Sergiyovych
These awards will be personally presented to the families of the heroes, ensuring that their contributions and sacrifices are never forgotten.
