Manevychi Firefighters Conduct Tactical Training at Gas Station
Firefighters Conduct Tactical Training in Manevychi
Firefighters in Manevychi recently conducted fire-tactical training exercises. The drills simulated a fire at the “ECO OIL” gas station, focusing on rescue operations and evacuation procedures.
The tactical scenario involved a simulated fire at the “ECO OIL” gas station. During the exercises, firefighters practiced rescue operations, evacuation methods, and strategies for extinguishing the fire. The scenario began with a fire in a fuel tanker during the draining of petroleum products into a reservoir. This resulted in the burning of the tanker and a fuel spill covering an area of 75 square meters. The training was designed to improve the coordination and effectiveness of emergency services in the event of a real fire.
A total of two fire tankers from the 13th State Fire and Rescue Unit and one departmental fire protection vehicle were deployed to the simulated fire. Police and emergency medical services were also involved in the exercise. During reconnaissance, one casualty was discovered and safely evacuated to a secure area using a reserve mask, then handed over to medical personnel. Firefighters used a GPS-600 foam gun as part of a GDZS link and a water gun to protect the building and dispensing column to extinguish the simulated fire.
The drills highlighted the importance of rapid response and effective coordination among various emergency services. Such training exercises are crucial for ensuring that firefighters and other first responders are prepared to handle real-life emergencies and protect the community.
The goal of these exercises is to improve the skills and readiness of firefighters. The exercise provided valuable experience and reinforced the importance of following safety protocols.
