14th Separate UAV Regiment: Join Ukraine’s Elite Drone Force

The 14th Separate Regiment of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) is one of the most effective and technologically advanced units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). It is the only unit in the world that works with almost all existing unmanned aerial systems. The regiment inflicts damage on the enemy at both the tactical level and deep within its territory.

The unit was established in October 2022 as an experimental UAV battalion within the 190th Training Center. It quickly demonstrated its effectiveness, and it served as the model for establishing separate UAV companies in most of the active combat brigades of the Defense Forces.

On August 22, 2023, the unit officially became the 14th Separate UAV Regiment. It is headed by an officer with the call sign “Charlie”—a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war since 2014 and a full Knight of the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky. In the summer of 2024, the 14th Separate UAV Regiment became part of the newly established Unmanned Systems Forces.

The 14th Separate UAV Regiment has gathered the best fighters with diverse combat experience from various components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, from the SSO (Special Operations Forces) to the Marines. Experienced engineers and other specialists work on unique systems in the regiment’s support units, helping it stay at the forefront of progress. Today, you can serve alongside them and adopt their knowledge and skills by joining the regiment through direct mobilization. We will discuss this further.

The first step in getting acquainted, which does not obligate you to anything, is filling out an application form on our website 14reg.army. Leave your resume and contact information, and our recruiters will contact you. Don’t worry: we store your data confidentially in our unit and do not share it with anyone.

Recruiters will conduct an online interview with you. During it, you can choose a position based on your own wishes, experience, and skills and ask any questions. After that, you will undergo psychological testing, an OSINT check, and for some positions, a polygraph test.

Since the 14th Separate UAV Regiment has been designated by the General Staff as a priority unit, we can immediately enlist you in our regiment. To do this, you must write a mobilization application. After that, we will notify the RTC (Regional Territorial Recruitment Center) at your place of registration that we plan to mobilize you directly and send you to this RTC for a military medical commission.

For the medical examination, you will have a 5-day “immunity” period, during which you cannot be disturbed with other questions because you are going directly to our unit. Remember: we are always in touch and ready to advise and help.

After passing the medical examination, we will inform you of the date when you need to arrive at our unit to complete the documents. You will have time to complete your civilian affairs.

From our unit, you will go to basic general military training, which will last 50 days. If you have an officer rank, the procedure will be slightly different: you will attend officer courses at one of the higher military educational institutions, which will last 30 days.

After completing basic training, you will return to our unit. Here you will have professional training, adaptation to the new position, and complete coordination with your brothers and sisters in arms.

But your training will not end there. The regiment’s fighters regularly train and engage in tactical training and medicine, undergo specialized training, and various advanced training courses.
