Черговий етап обміну в межах стамбульських домовленостей: додому повертається молодь, поранені та тяжкохворі Захисники🇺🇦

На Батьківщину повертаються українські воїни ЗСУ, ДПСУ, НГУ, ДССТ. Серед звільнених є представники ТрО, мотопіхотних, механізованих, десантно-штурмових військ, морської піхоти та цивільні.

Особливість цього обміну в тому, що вдалося повернути Захисників, яких Росія засудила на тривалі терміни ув’язнення.

Переважна більшість звільнених потрапила в полон у 2022 році.

❗️ Додому повертаюся й військові, які вважалися зниклими безвісти.

Воїни захищали Україну на різних напрямках, зокрема у місті Маріуполь. Серед повернутих є офіцери.

Цей обмін — результат масштабної роботи державних органів, що входять до складу Коордштабу з питань поводження з військовополоненими. Процес триває за дорученням Президента України.

ℹ️ Незмінно на місці обміну — працівники Офісу Омбудсмана, зокрема мій Представник в системі органів сектору безпеки та оборони Юрій Ковбаса. Наша команда моніторить дотримання норм Женевської конвенції про поводження з військовополоненими, а також бере участь у низці інших процесів.

‼️Щиро вітаю всіх, хто цього теплого липневого дня повернувся додому! Звертаюся до рідних Захисників, чиї близькі у полоні або зникли безвісти: не втрачайте віри!

Another stage of the exchange under the Istanbul agreements: young people, the wounded and seriously ill defenders are returning home🇺🇦

Ukrainian soldiers from the Armed Forces, State Border Guard Service, National Guard, and State Transport Special Service are returning to their homeland. Among those released are representatives of the Territorial Defence Forces, motorised infantry, mechanised forces, Air Assault Forces, marines, and civilians.

The peculiarity of this exchange is that it was possible to return defenders whom Russia had sentenced to long terms of imprisonment.

The vast majority of those released were captured in 2022.

❗️Soldiers who were considered missing in action are also returning home.

These soldiers defended Ukraine in various areas, including the city of Mariupol. Among those returned are officers.

This exchange is the result of extensive work by state bodies that are part of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War. The process is ongoing under the instruction of the President of Ukraine.

ℹ️Ombudsman’s Office staff, including my representative in the security and defence sector, Yuriy Kovbasa, are present at the exchange site. Our team monitors compliance with the Geneva Convention on the treatment of prisoners of war and participates in a number of other processes.
