There are those who were captured in the first months of the full-scale invasion. A significant part are officers. The oldest released is 49 years old, the youngest \u2014 25 years old. The defenders have injuries and illnesses.\n\n\u2757\ufe0fAs the Ombudsman, I emphasize the following points: This return is the result of significant work by state structures that are part of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War. The work is carried out in accordance with the instructions of the President of Ukraine.\n\nTraditionally, employees of the Ombudsman\u2019s Office were present at the meeting points. Our team monitors compliance with the norms of the Geneva Conventions, as well as participates in other related processes. Regarding a significant number of citizens, our institution took measures to facilitate their return.
