Solidarity on Wheels. New life for Swiss buses in Ukraine – from 2026!
A powerful milestone of solidarity: 3 out of 6 public buses from Bern (Mercedes and Volvo) have safely arrived in their new home in City of Trostyanets, Ukraine. Donated by BERNMOBIL, these buses will support the rebuilding of local public transport after much of the city’s fleet was destroyed by the war.
From 2026, the Swiss buses will be back on the road – this time serving passengers in Trostyanets. 💙💛
The handover ceremony took place shortly before Christmas in Bern, with:
