24 лютого. День, який розділив наші життя на “до” і “після”.

Три роки тому цей ранок став страшним потрясінням для всіх нас. Вибухи, страх, невідомість. Але водночас – рішучість, боротьба і віра в Україну.

Сьогодні, в Національний День молитви, ми розпочали цей день у храмі Священномученика Йосафата. Разом із громадою молилися за мир, за наших воїнів, які тримають небо і землю України, за всіх, хто віддав своє життя у цій війні.

Отець Ігор Третяк звернувся до всіх із закликом до щирої молитви та віри у Божу ласку. Бо сьогодні кожен із нас ставить собі важкі питання:

“Господи, чи ти чуєш нас? Чи ти милосердний до нас? Як витримує наша земля стільки страждань?”

Маємо заглянути в свої серця: чи стали ми чистішими у помислах, чи навчилися єдності та доброти? Чи вміємо не просто чути, а й аналізувати, бачити істину серед темряви?

Далі молилися за душі всіх, кого забрала ця війна. За невинних жертв, дітей, молодь, літніх людей. За воїнів, які до останнього подиху боролися за Україну.

До Меморіалу Героїв нашої громади поклали запалені лампадки – як символ пам’яті про тих, чиї імена стали частиною героїчної історії нескореної України.

Молимося. Пам’ятаємо. Боремося.

February 24th. This date has become a defining moment, dividing our lives into “before” and “after.” The echoes of explosions, the gripping fear, and the uncertainty that gripped us three years ago are still vivid. But amidst this darkness, there emerged an unwavering resolve, a fierce fight for freedom, and an enduring faith in Ukraine.

Today, on the National Day of Prayer, we commenced this solemn day at the Church of the Holy Martyr Josaphat. Together with the community, we offered prayers for peace, for our valiant soldiers who defend the skies and lands of Ukraine, and for all who have sacrificed their lives in this devastating war. The prayers were a testament to the collective hope and resilience of the Ukrainian people.

Father Ihor Tretyak addressed the congregation, imploring everyone to engage in sincere prayer and to have faith in God’s grace. In these trying times, each of us grapples with profound questions:

“Lord, do You hear us? Are You merciful to us? How can our land endure so much suffering?”

It is crucial that we introspect, examining our hearts to see if we have become purer in our thoughts and actions. Have we learned the value of unity and kindness? Are we able not only to hear but also to analyze, to discern the truth amidst the shadows of this conflict?

We then prayed for the souls of all those who have been lost in this war. For the innocent victims, the children, the youth, and the elderly. For the soldiers who fought until their last breath for Ukraine. Their bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

At the Memorial to the Heroes of our community, we placed lit lamps – a poignant symbol of remembrance for those whose names have become an integral part of the heroic history of unconquered Ukraine. These lamps serve as a constant reminder of the sacrifices made and the enduring spirit of the Ukrainian people.

We pray. We remember. We fight.
