🌍 Conclusion of Mentorship Visit of Zarichne Municipality 🇺🇦 to Slovenska Bistrica Municipality 🇸🇮 🌍

Over the past two weeks, Slovenska Bistrica welcomed representatives from Zarichne Municipality as part of their mentorship visit under the “Recovery and Reconstruction in Ukraine” program, organized by the Centre for European Perspective and under the auspices of Bridges of Trust. The initiative provided participants with the opportunity to explore best practices in Slovenian local communities and gain practical insights to support the development of projects in their own municipality.

During the visit, the Ukrainian delegation toured several key institutions and companies in Slovenska Bistrica, including:
• Komunala Slovenska Bistrica – innovations in digitalization, sustainable management, and citizen engagement;
• Impol d.o.o. – modern aluminum production and innovative manufacturing processes;
• Slovenska Bistrica Agricultural Cooperative – organization and support for local agriculture;
• Dom dr. Jožeta Potrča Poljčane – examples of social care and senior inclusion best practices.

In addition to site visits, participants took part in workshops on project planning, funding, and implementation, developing concrete ideas for future cooperation between Slovenska Bistrica and Zarichne.

The mentorship visit concluded with the signing of a cooperation agreement by the mayors – Mr. Bohdan Kvachuk (Zarichne) and Dr. Ivan Žagar (Slovenska Bistrica) – reinforcing their commitment to exchanging knowledge and collaborating on joint projects. This partnership represents an important step toward enhanced local development and stronger international municipal cooperation.
