Сумщина, російський обстріл, жертви серед цивільних – жахлива реальність. Російські війська здійснили варварський обстріл міста Суми, безжально атакуючи звичайні вулиці з реактивної артилерії. Цей навмисний удар по цивільному населенню призвів до трагічних наслідків. Наразі триває масштабна рятувальна операція, метою якої є надання допомоги численним постраждалим. З глибоким сумом повідомляємо про загибель трьох людей. Висловлюємо щирі співчуття родинам та близьким загиблих. Усі відповідні служби працюють на місці події, щоб забезпечити підтримку всім, хто цього потребує.

Під час обстрілу було виявлено щонайменше один снаряд РСЗВ, який не вибухнув. Цей смертоносний об’єкт пробив стіну звичайної квартири на дев’ятому поверсі житлового будинку. Цей факт є ще одним свідченням цинізму та брехливості російських заяв про «бажання» завершити війну. Обстріли Сумщини є щоденною реальністю.

Зрозуміло, що без потужного тиску з боку світової спільноти, без рішучих дій з боку Сполучених Штатів, Європи та всіх країн, які мають вплив, Путін не погодиться навіть на припинення вогню. Росія не припиняє свої нищівні удари по українських містах і селах жодного дня. Кожен день ми втрачаємо наших співвітчизників через російський терор. І кожного дня Росія надає нові підстави для посилення санкцій та збільшення підтримки нашої оборони. Російський обстріл Сумщини – це черговий злочин агресора.

Я висловлюю щиру вдячність усім у світі, хто підтримує саме такий порядок денний: запровадження жорстких санкцій за агресію та вбивства мирних жителів, а також надання допомоги для захисту життя українців.

Сумщина сьогодні – це біль всієї України. Ми ніколи не забудемо і не пробачимо злочини російських окупантів. Разом ми вистоїмо та переможемо!

The Russians launched a savage strike on Sumy – directly targeting the city and its ordinary streets with rocket artillery. It was a fully deliberate attack on civilians. A rescue operation is currently underway. Many people have been wounded. As of now, three people have been confirmed dead. My condolences go out to their families and loved ones. All emergency services are engaged to assist everyone affected.

At least one MLRS shell was a dud. It pierced the wall of an ordinary apartment room on the 9th floor. That alone says everything one needs to know about Russia’s so-called “desire” to end this war.

It is obvious: without global pressure – without decisive actions from the United States, Europe, and everyone in the world who has the power – Putin will not agree even to a ceasefire. Not a single day goes by without Russia striking Ukrainian cities and villages. Every day, we lose our people to Russian terror. Every day, Russia gives new reasons for tougher sanctions and stronger support for our defense.

I am grateful to everyone around the world who is promoting exactly this agenda: sanctions for aggression and the killing of people, and assistance in defending the lives of Ukrainians.
